TEETHING!

26 11 2007

AHH. So, little one is teething and somehow her cheeks have these bright red spots on them now, is this normal???? Does this happen when a baby is teething? I tried calling her ped but the nurse was clueless. Anyway. I can’t get rid of these spots. HMM.

Are there any tricks you learned when your child teeths?

completely normal .if the red spots get dry then lotion them, otherwise it’s just a part of the teething process. what i found that helped was a wet cloth. Sophie was never bothered by teething, but when i saw red cheecks i just gave her a cold wet cloth and she just chewed on it

It seems to be normal as far as I know, our nephew gets little red spots on his cheeks too.

sounds like teeth to me.
My boys got the red marks but the skin wasn’t especially dry and it didn’t seem to bother them.

When the teeth were really bothering them (not as often as people will lead you to believe) I used cold teething rings (never frozen) and when I was really desperate I used Hyland’s Teething Tablets (they’re homeopathic.)

#2 has 6 teeth and I haven’t bought the teething tablets yet. I guess I’m just lucky!
