What did you do for halloween? Little one is currently napping and we are going to pass out candy tonight. I have put a note on the door for now, that the little kiddos don’t ring our doorbell because SHE is sleeping.. and she did not sleep good last night, and didn’t want to nap today. Oh, teething…..

The awesome little seat known as bumbo is being recalled.. which you can find here.. Reason being? Kids were getting out of it and falling of tables and chairs. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It even says not to leave the seat on a high surface. How irresponsible can we be? I know I know.. things happen, and sometimes our children fall down, or roll off something. Nobody is perfect, but there is also something called common sense. This just really urks me. I know a lot of mama’s who use the bumbo seat and I’m sure they are perfectly fine with it and know not to place it on such high surfaces.
Tomorrow is going to be little one’s first halloween. She has the cutest costume ever and I will post pictures later!
On my personal blog, I signed up for nablopomo. National Blog Posting Month which is November. This means, everyday in November I am going to write a post. It should be interesting. I am so happy. My daughter has her bedtime routine down packed!!! At 7, I nurse her a bit and then give her some cereal. I give her a bath. I nurse her a little bit more, and then lay her in her crib. She used to fuss for about 10 minutes before she fell asleep, and it slowly decreased to last night, for about 1 minute, and then she was sound asleep on her little tummy. She only sleeps on her tummy now. When she is on her back, she attempts to roll over and if she can’t, she will cry. She is so good at going to bed at 10pm now. That is her current bed time and a lot better than the usual 11, or 12. She will sleep through the night, waking up once to eat if she is hungry.
Today, something happened for the first time!! I laid little one in her crib to play while I put some clothes in the washer. She rolled over and went right to sleep for a nap. No fussing, nothing. It was the cutest thing and I was excited.
All of a sudden, she is just so easy to get to sleep now. She’s such a big girl.
Today, Little one is 5 months old!! She is getting so big.
Sorry for the lack of posting and good quality pictures. I have to use my camera phone to show off my little one :) It’s been crazy over here!!! Everything is breaking. Hubby’s expensive camera broke after 3 wonderful years. I feel so bad that it happened and want to buy him a new one. A piece that powers the battery bent and now it doesn’t recognize the battery. He used it for work, to take pictures of tattoos etc. Anyhow.
I can’t believe little one is 5 months old. She is currently in a 12-18 months outfit from old navy that my sister got her. It looks like this:
Little one is still sleeping in the pack n play in our room. I guess our cut off time for that is about 6 months. We are all getting sleep so it doesn’t matter. Besides, our room stays warmer at night when it gets in the 40’s. Her’s is the coldest. I’ll justify it with that. :)
Last night, I looked over at her and she was sleeping on her side with her head arched back. Didn’t look too comfortable so I moved her to her back. Big mistake. She woke up for the next hour. Ugh, silly me. Tonight, I put her in her pack and play and she went to sleep on her back, and then woke up crying. She was obviously trying to roll onto her tummy, but she was too close to the side so couldn’t. I helped her a little bit, and 2 seconds later she was sound asleep on her tummy.. She is still asleep. All she wanted was to sleep on her tummy. That’s all she ever wants now. She is sprawled out like a little monkey. It looks so cute and she is sleeping SO good. She isn’t waking up every little bit for no reason.

Long time no real update eh. Little one is growing so fast, I can hardly believe it. Since the 5 month mark is fast approaching, we decided to start her on about 2 ounces of juice a day. Those little Gerber juice bottles for babies are so handy! She favors the pear one very much. She drinks it up any way she can. This includes mixing it with her cereal that she also eats once a day. I usually give her a little bit of cereal mixed with juice (which is directed on the box. mix with juice, water, bm, or formula.) She ate maybe 10 bites when it was mixed with BM & Formula but when mixed with juice, she ate it all!! I mean, a good 2 ounces of cereal. HOLY MOLY girl. She loves it. She has also been sleeping great. Last night she slept from 11:30 til 6am and then woke up to eat and went back to bed until 9am. Her naps are back to normal as well. She loves to walk in her little walker, and she loves to roll over and she is at the point where she can almost roll herself back over. She has been lifting her booty in the air while on her tummy and she is that much closer to full on crawling. Everything is going rather well. Here is a picture of her drooling on her bed and then rubbing it in the sheets. Nice going! :) She’s looking at me like “what mom?!”. (sorry for the picture quality, taken with my camera phone)
I have written this in my personal blog: the tattooed mama but thought I’d share with you all since some of you do not read my other blog.
“Last night my husband and I watched the news together. Hadn’t done that in a while but we did, and what do you know.. one of the main stories was “Mommy Bloggers!” Yes! I thought to myself.. there is no backing out of this now. He immediately looked at me and said “oh geez” or something like that. He then said “This may actually make me think you are normal”.. and by the end of the story, I felt normal. It was amazing. My blogging obsession is actually justified now. It really is my only means of communication to the outside world. To be honest, I have more friends through blogging than I do in real life. It’s so hard to maintain those friendships when you have a new baby. Especially with friends who don’t have children yet. Blogging is my form of communication. I feel like the people who are on my blogroll are actually a friend in some way or another. Call me crazy, call me whatever you want, just don’t call me on the phone.. gosh, I hate phones. Seriously though. I get excited when I read posts by others that I can relate to, or comments that brighten up my day.
Although I do need to make more friends in this town if we plan on being here a while… I just don’t really want to make them right now. Ha. I’d rather blog about how I have no friends.”
nothing to say on the baby end. crap, i said that last time. well, she is enjoying her walker… and has learned to be mobile with it. YIKES. i just haven’t had much to say in regards to the baby. she is sleeping good, eating good, nursing good, rolling over all the time, and now using her little walker to get around. i wrote a post on my personal blog.. lately, there isn’t much new baby info… bookmark the personal blog guys.. i write in it a lot. it’s sorta like my mommy free time, creative and useful stuff..
Yesterday we bought little one a walker and she absolutely loves it. Things are good, and she is still… rolling over all the time. Not much else to say today on the baby end of things. She is currently trying to crawl towards her toys.

Last night was the 3rd night in a row that she has slept through the night. Right now, little one is currently rolling over on the floor, over and over and over again. What’s cute is she can’t wait to roll over and then she is stuck on her tummy cause she hasn’t figured out how to flip back. I can’t believe how much she rolls over!!!!!! In the last 5 years, I have not gotten as much sleep as I got last night. Let me just recap for you:
12am – little one goes to bed
7am – little one wakes up to eat
7:30am – little one goes back to bed
12:20pm – little one wakes up for the day!!
That’s right folks, we got a total of 12 hours of sleep! It was the most amazing feeling. I woke up to my hubby making breakfast and a big gift bag of bath & body smell good stuff. I am on top of the world.
You all are sure quiet!!? I must have scared you all with my “duck and cover” post. EEk. :) Sorry!!! Little one wanted me to ask you all if you saw her rolling over story?

Most of the action was caught with my camera phone. Since the “roll over”, she now has been trying in bed, on the floor, on the changing table (proof below). She just can’t stop! I’ll let her tell you the story.

Oh things have been so wonderful lately!!! She has been sleeping so good, and napping so well. Ah it’s wonderful. So wonderful, that we actually went grocery shopping at 8am this morning and she was good the entire time. Weird, I know.
Lately, she has been spinning herself around in circles on the floor, managed to roll over half way (we are almost there!), she can sit up a little unsupported, and of course, she is still jumping up a storm in her johnny jump up.
Thanks to all those who have been reading my personal blog. It’s nice to have a place to write that isn’t always about baby and mommy stuff. Love it! A few updates to both sites.. Anyhow, gotta go, my little one sounds like she is trying out for Jurassic Park.
