Well, my prenatal check up was today. Conor went with me, although we were only there for 15 minutes. Shortest visit by far. The doctor said the baby has gotten really big, in a surprised tone. That’s always good. I’ve gained 5 pounds!! (yikes for me, good for baby). Her heart is beating just fine, 147 bpm. He felt for the uterus and it was really large and higher up compared to last time. A lot higher, sheesh. The baby’s kicks are really powerful and now she reacts to conor’s voice, music, and a lot of other sounds. My fingers are starting to swell and sometimes I think my ring will never come off. I couldn’t bare to not wear it, but I may have to get a small chain for it.. to wear around my neck. That is, if it gets too bad. I haven’t really had any complications or anything. The iron in my vitamins gets to me sometimes, but I am learning how to balance out everything so I won’t have any problems. I am in dire need of a new wardrobe. I am going to have to resort to conor’s clothes pretty soon. As far as the baby shower goes, I made invitations yesterday. It was such a blast. They are pink and green, with polka dots. It kept me busy all day. The baby shower will be in March. That’s about it for now.

Next appt, February 22nd @ 10:45a. 16 weeks till baby is here!

Oh, Belly Button?

16 01 2007

Well, it happened. Conor and I noticed last night that the belly button I once had, is not the same anymore. In fact, I am now about to join the “outtie” group. It is closed up and on the verge of popping. As my uterus grows, it will push out my belly button more. In a way it’s cute, but… it’s different. In other news, well.. there isn’t really any. Cailyn kicks me all night long, and at the most inconvenient times (ie: sleeping, church.. etc).

Stork Parking.

12 01 2007

Today was the first day I have ever utilized the “stork parking: for expectant or new mothers” and it was wonderful! I went to the grocery store Bi-lo and the parking lot was unbearable. It was full, and I sighed until I saw the sign! I did not know that grocery stores in TN even had this kind of parking. (Coming from California, where a pregnant mother is even okay to go in the carpool lane). My eyes lit up when I saw this parking, and it was the closest spot to the store. Wow, this is amazing. I kinda like this. Anyhow. I decided that I need Conor to take some pictures of my belly because it is growing… and I should keep track of just how big I am gonna get. Keep ya posted.

20 weeks

8 01 2007

I can’t believe I am 20 weeks pregnant today. Time really goes by fast. I have really been feeling the baby kick. Especially at church yesterday. OH MY. I could hardly sit still because of her kicking. Haha.
